LiFePO4 describes a battery chemistry, not a complete system specification. Products with the same nominal capacity can differ in usable energy, power, communication, temperature limits and warranty. Selection must use the exact product datasheet.

Read the relevant specifications

SpecificationQuestion to ask
Nominal and usable capacityHow much energy is available under the stated conditions?
Continuous powerWhich loads can be supplied without exceeding limits?
Charge and discharge limitsHow do temperature and state of charge affect them?
CompatibilityIs the inverter combination explicitly supported?
WarrantyWhat years, cycles, throughput and exclusions apply?

BMS and inverter integration

The battery management system monitors operating conditions and communicates with the converter where supported. Matching voltage alone does not establish communication compatibility or safe operation. Check permitted wiring, module counts and software versions.

An unsupported combination can limit monitoring or operating control even if the equipment appears electrically similar. Request a documented compatibility statement rather than relying on connector appearance.

Cycle life and actual use

Advertised cycle counts depend on test conditions. Check discharge depth, temperature, charge rate and the remaining-capacity criterion. Calendar ageing continues even with light use. Cycle count cannot be mechanically converted into years of warranty.

Installation and protection

Follow manufacturer requirements for temperature, ventilation, clearances and protection against water or mechanical damage. No chemistry removes the need for protection, correct cabling and competent design. Low-temperature charging must follow the specific product's limits.

Compare the complete cost

Evaluate price per usable kWh together with power, installation, compatibility and warranty. A cheaper battery requiring an inverter replacement or failing to support the intended loads may not be the lower-cost system.

See our storage service and capacity-sizing guide. The Anissaras storage project is not labelled LiFePO4 here because its battery chemistry has not been published. Equipment-specific claims should be added only after the model and supporting documentation are verified.

What to request in writing

Ask for the exact battery model, nominal and permitted usable capacity, continuous charge/discharge limits and compatibility with the specific inverter. A general LiFePO4 chemistry label does not prove that two products perform identically in your system.

Check actual manufacturer warranty terms for use, temperature, cycling and retained capacity. Installation space, electrical protection and isolation must be defined in the site design. Do not rely on a cycle-life number without its test conditions.

Discuss your installation

Send your location, bills, operating hours and available roof space for an individual assessment.
